As we prepare to come to school tomorrow, we ask for your help in making the day go as smoothly as is possible. On our webpage is a link to general IDPH COVID guidelines and an FAQ please take a look. If you have any specific questions that the guidance does not address, please don’t hesitate to give us a call or call the Hancock County Health Department. For the folks who will have students riding the bus tomorrow, please be available in the event that your child(ren) do not meet the screening requirements at the time of boarding. For folks that will be dropping off students tomorrow morning at the elementary, please be patient and follow the directions of staff and local officials. We will be screening and directing traffic as our circle drive is not yet fully cured and ready to accept traffic. We expect it to be available for use on Monday morning. We ask for your help in avoiding westbound travel on Broadway during drop-off and pick-up times, until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience. Also please remember that if you have students exhibiting any COVID-like symptoms, please keep them home. Families with multiple students should keep all of their students at home even if only one of the students exhibits COVID-like symptoms. Please do your best to help remind your student that wearing a face covering is essential and required in order to safely return to school. Lastly, please understand that the current return to school situation is fluid. Having a back-up plan, in case of any cancellation or interruption in the school day is recommended. We offer our thanks for your understanding and appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we return to school this year.
