Friday, we wore black to “black out drugs and bullying.” We also had panels of local professionals meet with students during study halls to answer questions our students had about the various consequences of drug and alcohol use and physical and mental health. Thank you to Mike Boley (Hamilton Police Chief), Matthew Thor (Hancock County Chief Public Defender), Joe Little (Mental Health Centers of Western Illinois Counselor), Gavin O’Neal (Memorial Medical Clinics: Behavioral Health Counselor), Bobi James (Hancock County State’s Attorney), Kaylan Hendrickson (Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy), Wes Woolson (Hancock County Sheriff’s Detective), Donna Rodeffer (Hamilton School Nurse), and Danielle Lorenson (Blessing Rieman College of Nursing and Health Sciences Respiratory Instructor) for spending time with our students today.
