6th grade has been working on alternative energy/energy sources in science. Students learned about electricity and wiring using the Smart Grid Construction set from the Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology at Illinois State University. Students also had hands-on experience with wind turbines and designing blades for achieving optimal energy amounts. These wind turbines are provided by Ag In the Classroom and Mrs. einberg.
