As the holiday season draws near, we would like to share our current plans for returning to in-person instruction. Please keep in mind this can change at any time and is based on our ability to safely staff our buildings and programs. Remote instruction will continue through Friday, December 18th. Christmas Break begins on December 21. We will be making food deliveries with weekly supplies of food on December 21 and 28. We will return to remote instruction on January 4. Remote instruction will end on January 8. We will return to in-person instruction on Monday, January 11 and will continue to follow the guidelines for in-person instruction when we return. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

We have reached a critical point in our ability to deliver in-person instruction. I am very proud of our staff and students and proud of what we have been able to achieve, since beginning in-person instruction this fall. Unfortunately, we will be moving to full remote instruction on Monday, November 16. The last day of in-person instruction will be tomorrow, November 12. Students will receive instruction tomorrow regarding the transition to remote learning. Staff will use the day on November 13 to plan for the transition to full remote instruction. We will begin lunch delivery on Wednesday, November 18 for students and families who are interested. Please plan for remote instruction until after the Christmas Holiday. If we are able to return sooner than that, we will do so. Thank you for your continued understanding and support, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

COVID cases have risen dramatically in Hancock County over the past few weeks. We are doing everything that we can to keep the school staffed and to keep our students safe. We are very appreciative of the support that we have received from our students and families and know that you are also doing the best that you can to be safe. If COVID cases continue their trend, it may become necessary for us to move to fully remote learning for a period of time. We will do our best to give as much notice as we can, but it may be a sudden change as the situation is fluid. Having a back-up plan, in case of any cancellation or interruption in the school day is recommended.
