Governor Pritzker has announced that Illinois will continue its suspension of in-person instruction for another 30 days, through April 30. Illinois schools will remain closed until April 30 and students will return on May 1. We will notify our students and families if and when there are any changes to the May 1 return date. In the meantime, we will continue to provide meal service and remote educational engagement to the best of our ability. Events that have been scheduled through April 30 are cancelled. We realize that this includes high school prom and will do our best to find a way to offer that experience when it has been deemed safe to return to school. Our sincere thanks to our school community, students and families for their understanding and patience. We miss our students and anxiously await the time when we can return to school.
Seniors can come to the office today before 2pm to pick up their caps, gowns, and graduation announcements. We will deliver them to the door near the front office.
Good afternoon. We have received some phone calls asking for clarification about the length of the school closure, so we felt it was best to contact everyone. All Illinois Schools will be closed for the remainder of the duration of the governor’s disaster proclamation, which currently extends through April 7, 2020. Currently, we plan to return to normal operation on April 8, 2020. We will do our best to update our school community if and when there are any changes to the scheduled date of return. In the meantime, we will continue to provide meal deliveries and do our best to remain in contact with our students and families. We thank you for your understanding and appreciate your support.
For next week, let’s have a little fun with some dress-up days! Details are on the attached picture.
