Due to the school closure, parent-teacher conferences will not be held this week. Parents of students at the junior-senior high school will be receiving a parent survey via email with followup phone calls as requested. Elementary school parents will be receiving phone calls from their child’s teachers. Starting next week, food deliveries will be on Mondays (with meals for 2 days), Wednesdays (for meals and work packets), and Thursdays (with meals for 2 days plus Food for Thoughts bags for the weekend). Our buildings will remain open from 8am-3pm Monday through Friday, and we encourage you to contact the office or your child’s teachers directly if you have any questions. We intend to remain in contact with you throughout the closure. Thank you again for your understanding and flexibility.

At the direction of the Hancock County Health Department, Hamilton CCSD #328 will be closed on Monday, March 16, 2020. The District will then follow the guidance of the State of Illinois and Illinois Department of Public Health and remain closed from March 17, 2020 to March 30, 2020. All student activities and events scheduled during the closure are cancelled. Illinois schools will reopen on March 31, 2020, unless additional guidance is issued from the State or Local health department. Hamilton School district staff will be working to support students during the closure time. School staff will be reaching out to students and families via telephone or electronic means in order to stay connected to students and to continue to offer academically engaging activities. We are asking for the support of parents, guardians and families as we try our best to navigate this unprecedented school closure. Additionally, we will be offering breakfast and lunch delivery for students and our staff will be reaching out to students and families to schedule deliveries. Please expect a phone call on March 16 or March 17. We plan to begin meal service on March 18. As we move through the coming days, please help us to serve children. We will be making several contacts with our parents, guardians, families and students. We ask for your help in being as available for communication as is possible. We thank you in advance for your patience, support and understanding.
